Safer Spaces Policy

gritLIT is committed to ensuring that all our platforms, whether online or in person, are inclusive, welcoming spaces for all attendees, authors, event hosts and gritLIT team members.

Any attendee whose comments or questions may be construed as bullying, as offensive or as disrespectful toward any other festival guest or organizer will have their online posts removed and will be informed why the comment or question was flagged and will be asked to refrain from posting similar comments or questions in future. Any attendee who makes comments or asks questions that may be construed as bullying at in-person gritLIT events may be asked to leave.

Any attendee whose comments or questions are overtly bullying, offensive or disrespectful OR who ignores a warning to refrain from comments or questions that may be construed as bullying, as offensive or as disrespectful OR who acts or speaks in a bullying, offensive or disrespectful manner toward any other festival guest or organizer will be removed and may be banned from attending gritLIT events in future.
